Two-year-olds like to be independent! A great deal of time is spent exploring, pushing, pulling, filling, dumping and touching. Our Two Year old program fosters independence and initiative through our environment and curriculum. We believe that at this age there should be a daily routine and consistency which helps children feel a sense of safety and belonging. Through a structured environment, children are comfortable and feel free to choose areas of the classroom to explore.

Two year olds are very curious about the world around them and all of the new things they are mastering, such as language, small and large motor skills and toilet training. Our qualified teachers work closely to enhance all these emerging skills through the environment and curriculum. This age group will have one on one learning time with their teacher! We invested heavily in learning materials for this age group which include: Early Math activities, sorting by sizes and colors. Literacy with alphabet boxes, felt board story time of the classic books. Photo library cards to both develope language and feelings! This classroom has everything begin a love of learning!

Our GET SET for SCHOOL, Pre-Kindergarten Program (3 & 4 year olds) is filled with investigation, exploration, and discovery, where active and enthusiastic children can refine and expand their skills and knowledge. Through intentional teaching practices, purposefully-designed learning environments, and enriched activities, teachers ensure preschoolers have joyful, appropriate and meaningful learning experiences that lead to success in school and in life.

Our Kindergarten Prep Pre-K program (4 to 5 year olds) helps children advance skills in academic areas such as literacy, math and science, as well as in other essential areas such as art, social and emotional well-being, and health and wellness. Our child-centered approach ensures that children are exposed to a diverse array of learning activities and that they thrive in all areas of child development, creative thinking, complex problem solving, empathetic collaboration, curious investigation and astute decision making.

We have structured both of these classrooms to include One on One Teaching! Our teacher is actually a center! The classrooms have the following 7 centers:

One on One teaching, Science & Math, Technology, Literacy & Reading, Blocks, Art, Home & Grocery Store

The children begin their day in circle time where they discuss the day of the week, weather and classroom helpers are assigned. The teacher reviews the theme and lesson plans which are always incorporated in the centers activities. Then the children are assigned to a center. We only have 2-3 children in a center at a time. The children rotate to each center for 20 minutes at a time. This enables each child to have this time with the teacher for one on one learning several times a day! Our centers are outfitted with the best materials on the market! We spared no expense. We are proud that we have decked these classrooms out!

Technology Center in each classroom has a 72" Interactive Board and 2 computers! 

Science & Math Center has multiple magnetic materials, insect and life cycles, magnetic blocks to build in 3-D, Counting materials, Fun Math games and sequencing to name a few! 

Literacy & Reading incorporates our award winning curriculumn along with a privacy reading cube, alphabet tubs, alphabet games, books and writing materials! Our Pre-K class visits the local Library every other week to check out library books and have story time!

Block Center has Wood blocks, Marble Works, Large Brick Blocks, 12 different garages along with Community Helpers and Dinosaurs! Every child's dream!

Art Center has Kinetic Sand!!! Must see video on FunCare Children's Center Facebook page. Playdough, stamps, paints, markers and crayons to name a few!

Home and Grocery store center is equipped with a grocery Store that has fruit to sell, real working cash register and grocery cart! We have a kitchen that includes real cutting fruit, mixers that really mix, toaster that pop, coffee makers, scoopable ice cream, doll cradle, high chair, stroller and a 5 foot tall dollhouse with working elevater!

We understand that for many busy and working parents it is challenging to find an enriching atmosphere for before and after school care.

FunCare has developed a program for Before- and After-School Care, School Holidays and Summer Camp. We instill a continued love of learning for children 5 through 12 years old. We are also excited to offer homework help, supervised activities and child-directed play to pique your child`s interests in a safe, friendly and clean environment. 

This classroom has 3 computers in their technology center!

We currently transport to and from Jennie Reid Elementary, Rizzuto Elementary, La Porte Elementary, and Bayshore Elementary.

We believe every child should enjoy outdoor play! Our playground is spacious and equipped with a climbing structure and slide. We have a climbing Dinosaur and many activities for your child to engage and have fun with! Our teachers help lead many different types of games.

Soccor, Kick Ball, Badminton, Croquet and Parachute Games!

Maybe your child enjoys riding Toys! We have Balance Bikes to help the children learn to ride a bike. Tricycles and Pedal Tractors. Ride on Fire Trucks, Police Cars or pull a wagon full of friends around.

Get ready for good old fashion messy play! All the children enjoy moving dirt around with the Tonka Trucks galore!
